Payment & Returns

We're on your side
Every vehicle is repo inventory, personally inspected by our team with a verified clear title — and backed by a no-questions-asked 5-day return window after delivery.
Table of Contents
1. How Payment Works
When you win an auction, you'll receive an invoice from our team with full payment instructions. Depending on our agreement with the originating bank, lender, or consignor for that specific vehicle, payment is made either to #1 Auction Buyer LLC's company bank account, or into a joint/shared settlement account held with the owner of the vehicle — a standard, legally recognized arrangement for this type of transaction in the United States. In either case, funds are held under this arrangement until your inspection period is satisfied, and the destination account is always stated clearly on your official invoice. Once your payment is received and confirmed, we begin coordinating delivery of your vehicle.
2. Accepted Payment Method
At this time, we accept payment exclusively by bank transfer (wire transfer) to our company account. This keeps transactions secure, traceable, and free of the extra processing fees that come with other payment methods — savings we pass on to you in the form of no buyer's premiums.
Bank details will be provided on your official invoice after you win an auction. Depending on our contract with the vehicle's owner (bank, lender, or consignor), the invoice may direct payment to #1 Auction Buyer LLC or to a joint/shared settlement account established with that owner — this is normal for our industry and will always be clearly identified on the invoice itself. For your security, we will never ask you to send payment to a personal account or to any account not listed on your official AuctionBuyerTerminal invoice.
3. Payments Over $30,000
For purchases above $30,000, we offer the flexibility to split payment into two installments:
First Installment
Typically around half the purchase price, due to confirm your win and begin processing.
Title Processing
We finalize paperwork and clearance with the originating bank/institution.
Final Installment
The remaining balance is due once bank/title paperwork is fully cleared.
Vehicle Ships
Delivery is scheduled only once payment in full has been received.
4. What Happens Before Your Vehicle Ships
- Your payment is received and confirmed in full;
- Our team finalizes title transfer paperwork with the originating bank or institution;
- Delivery logistics are scheduled and shared with you, including estimated arrival timing;
- Your vehicle is shipped, fully insured, to your delivery address.
5. Our 5-Day Return Policy
Once your vehicle is delivered, the clock starts on your 5-day inspection period. This is your chance to drive it, look it over, and make sure it's the right fit — and if it isn't, for any reason, you can return it.
| What you can do | Details |
|---|---|
| Inspect & drive | Take the vehicle out, check it over, get comfortable with your purchase. |
| Change your mind | Don't love it? You can return it for any reason within the 5-day window. |
| Stay insured | The vehicle remains fully insured by AuctionBuyerTerminal for the entire 5-day period. |
We're not strict about this — we want you to feel genuinely confident in your purchase. The goal of this policy is to take the risk out of buying sight-unseen, not to make returns difficult.
6. How to Start a Return
- Contact our Support Center within your 5-day inspection window.
- Let us know you'd like to return the vehicle — you don't need to give a detailed reason, though we're always happy to hear feedback.
- Our team will arrange pickup logistics and confirm the next steps with you directly.
- Once the vehicle is returned and inspected, your refund is processed (see Section 7).
7. Refund Timing
8. What's Not Covered by Returns
To keep this process fair for everyone, a few common-sense exceptions apply:
- Damage, accidents, or losses caused by the buyer during the inspection period — even though the vehicle remains insured, buyer-caused damage may be deducted from your refund or invoiced separately.
- Returns requested after the 5-day inspection window has closed.
- Vehicles not returned in substantially the same condition as delivered (normal test-driving wear is expected and fine).
Outside of these reasonable exceptions, we genuinely want this to be an easy, low-stress process for you.
9. Questions Before You Bid?
If you have questions about a specific listing, payment timing, or how the return process works, don't wait until after you've won — reach out to our Support Center beforehand. We're happy to walk you through anything before you place a bid.
